Birth Doula Services
Prenatal
Your doula will visit you in your home to explore birth preferences and establish a relationship of comfort and trust with you and your family. Contact by phone for ongoing emotional and informational support as your pregnancy progresses is also available.Labor and Birth
When labor begins, your doula will meet you in your home and assist you there until it is time to transfer to the hospital, or meet you at the hospital and provide support there. Continuous support is provided throughout labor and birth as well as assistance with initial breastfeeding and healing. Your doula will remain with you 1-2 hours after the birth or until you are settled in your recovery room.Postpartum
Two to six weeks following the birth, a follow up home visit will be scheduled to reflect on the birth, discuss the postpartum period and assist with breastfeeding and newborn care. Support by phone is also available to ease your transition.
Postpartum Doula Services
Your postpartum doula will assist you with your emotional and physical healing, guide you in reflecting on your birth experience and provide you with necessary resources and education to ease your transition. Support with breastfeeding and newborn care as well as assistance in nurturing your family during this exciting time are all part of the postpartun services. We are also available to explore parenting philosophies and practices.
Fee Structure
There is an all-inclusive flat rate for birth doula services which includes one prenatal appointment (1-3 hours in your home), the entire labor & delivery (home & hospital time- no matter how long it takes) and one postpartum visit (1 hour in your home 2-6 weeks after delivery). Fee is available upon request. Payment plans are available.
Postpartum doula services are charged at an hourly rate. Customized packages are available depending on your needs. Rates are available upon request.
